It seems like yesterday, yet a year has already passed since the launch of our new Bear line! The kind-hearted Bear was actually released on the market in January 2025, marking a new chapter in our exploration of possibilities beyond the Garganega-Gambellara duo, which has always been the core of our production. It might have seemed like a gamble, but to me, it was simply an essential challenge given my journey so far. I have always embraced it with curiosity and a commitment to the natural, artisanal approach that underpins my production philosophy.

Twelve months later, I am extremely satisfied — the glass is definitely full! The kind-hearted Bear and The wise Bear were very popular in Italy and in the other countries where our wines are sold.I could not have hoped for a better reception! In an attempt to improve further, I tried to identify the most important asset of this line, as well as any areas that require refinement or revision. One positive aspect that stood out to me was the stylistic coherence with the other wines. Although the territories, micro-climates, and soils may change, the Bear’s “claw” is evident in the cleanliness, verticality, and elegance of the wines. Furthermore, these are wines that can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with lunch or dinner, which is a key consideration for me. Another point that has been brought to my attention by many is the territorial expressiveness, which I am pleased about. When it comes to areas for improvement, one really stands out: I have produced too little of either! In fact, they are almost finished, but fortunately, the new vintages are on the horizon!
