This is the perfect namefor my Garganega Passito Igt Veneto because it reminds me when I was a child and grape harvest was the symbol of the end of summer holiday. How much passion and time to realize it, I’ve been waiting for the right moment and after 15 years of tests and tastings a few months ago we finally managed to bottle it.

The grape bunches, that previously have dried until March using “Picai” technique, ferment in 50 litres tanks in the attic. Then the wine ages for more than 15 years. This is how the magic of Passito wine was born in Gambellara, a wine that is the main expression of welcoming and hospitality. The smell is very complex: cacao, coffee, liquorice, medicinal herbs and a lot of ripen fruit. The taste is warm, sweet and elegant, with an intense freshness. Typical sweet almond taste in the end.
El Vin del Ricordo (The wine of the memories) recalls us this story and the tradition of giving to your hosts a glass of your best wine, as a sign of honest welcome.
I’ve been waiting a lot, but it was worth it!
