Unlike in the past five years (that’s right, this project has been going on for quite some time now) and despite the hailstorms and adverse weather, the harvest with the adopters was brought forward to Saturday 27 September this year.

This is an annual event that always has a strong impact, and almost all of the adopters were present. Fortunately, the weather was kind to us this time.

Although there were very few grapes and, to be honest, they were not particularly attractive, I still wanted to go ahead with the plan to share the annual challenges we face with them. It was an opportunity to emphasise how much we are at the mercy of the weather and to make them more aware of these issues.

As soon as I arrived at the vineyard, I gave a brief summary of the vintage, focusing on the current situation and trying to emphasise how important it is to support the “artisans” by buying their products and helping them in critical situations like this. As always, the day ended with everyone raising their glasses and celebrating with a toast!
