Close your eyes and think about what you were doing 15 years ago. Can you do it? I perfectly remember what I was doing 15 years ago, and now I can finally tell you. This Christmas I will present you a new wine, from vintage 2009, that speaks about moments of life in old vineyards. “El Vin del Ricordo” is “our” Vin Santo, or rather our interpretation of Vin Santo, it is made as it was made in the past, as my grandfather and my father made it, a wine that takes inspiration from the ancient peasant traditions of the area.

It’s the best and healthiest wine our ancestors had in the winery, and they used to offer it to the hosts. It is made from dried Garganega, dried until the holy week: fermentation occurs in 50 liters not full tanks for years until it reaches a unique balsamic flavor due to freshness and saltiness typical of Gambellara volcanic soil. El Vin del Ricordo (Garganega Passito IGT 2009) will be again, as it was in the past, our welcoming wine.
