At the moment 2023 has been a fresh and rainy season, it’s been kind of normal compared to the last ones talking about weather. Vines are reacting well to this humidity, grape is abundant, we have already thinned grape bunches, leaving some of them on the soil. Rain brings a lot of work in the vineyards because grass grows very fast and the chance to get diseases such as powdery mildew or downy mildew is higher. Our work has to be constant, meticulous and intense. The path we have to follow is still long ‘til the harvest, so I’ll update you by the end of October.

If there’s a thing we can say is that every vintage is different from the other. Climate change is here and we can clearly see it: drought and cloudburst make our work every day more technical.

Today’s farmer has to study a lot e be continuously informed about new techniques and products. You also need to be very precise and punctual during all the time. It’s not always easy but you can have good results with study and responsibility.
