A mature vineyard with deep roots and child’s dreams. A luminous Merlot meets the dried Garganega in a conscious and carefree story. The energy of the dawn, the desire to amaze: colors and emotions of a volcanic land. This wine was created to explore the unprecedented potential of the Gambellara terroir. Starting from Merlot vineyards over 70 years old, I wanted to create a sur lie wine with vibrant colors and scents and great pleasure, a small hymn in the bottle to conviviality. Ideal for an aperitif or a snack with friends, throughout the meal for those who love genuine flavors.

Grape variety: 95% Merlot and 5% Garganega
Grape harvest: a part of it is hand picked in the first days of September, the rest by the end of September. A part i s also dried.
Vineyard: the grape bunches come from the vineyard situated in Brovia and Ronchi areas. The average age of the vine s is 70 years, from 50 to 200 m.a.s.l., volcanic soil.
Training system: pergola vicentina
Winemaking process: the grape bunches for the base of the fizzy wine are softly pressed and mixed together with the fermenting must of Merlot grape variety. The fermentation occurs with out the addition of any chemical product, it lies on the yeasts until February.
Sparkling process: during the cold months, the grape bunches for the Recioto wine are pressed. A part of the resulting must, rich in sugar and yeasts, meets the fizzy base and is immediately bottled. It lies on the yeasts for a few months before being ready to drink. In
the bottle you will find the fermentation yeasts that lay down on the bottom.
Colour: brilliant red with a natural turbidity due to the refermentation
Sensory profile: fragrant aromas of red fruits and rose, with a particularly enjoyable freshness in the mouth. Here the salty and earthy note prevails, it is typical of this terroir. A convivial and very drinkable wine, it leaves your mouth clean and fresh.
Pairings: ideal for the aperitif, for a snack with friends or during the meal for those who prefer genuine tastes to complex and structured aromas.
